Christmas Party With Bloggers !

I accepted the invitation for this lovely Chistmas Party with bloggers through Yiota's blog and I must say I'm so proud to celebrate with the blog friends this special time of the year ...
As I live in Brazil, my local time is about 4 or 5 hours less than countries in Europe and 12 from Australia so, I decided to write my post today instead of tomorrow because this way when some of you access my blog it will be Friday :)

Christmas is a special time for me, not only because of the gifts and food and all the ornaments but specially because of FAMILY.

It's the time when we get together with our beloved ones and when we also miss the ones who already gone but still live in our hearts. It's the time for love, hope and peace. It doesn't matter if our family is a big one or not. If we live in the same city or not...

It's a time for reflection, a time for improving ourselves by learning from each other and I've been learning a lot through blogland. Such lovely and blessed souls you are friends and this really warms my heart at Christmas. I am sure that each one of you will be in my thoughts on Christmas Night. God bless each one of you and your families, as well.

Web Radio FM, ladies !

As some of you already know, my husband is a journalist and owns a local newspaper and as he loves communication, he will set a web radio FM and invited me to have my own program !
Yes, ladies ! Once a week I'll have an hour to share recipes, tips and thoughts with women all over the world. The program will be in English, so anyone from anywhere can have the opportunity to participate through the web ! Isn't it fabulous ?
It will be a program just for ladies, I mean it will be an extension of my blog.

My husband intends to set the web radio FM on January. I'll add the link here on my blog.
So, ladies, feel free if you wish to share your recipes, tips and thoughts in our program ! It will be a great pleasure having you online :)

Candied Fresh Fruits

This is also another recipe I love having for Christmas ! It's very simple and you can invite children to help you, they'll love it !
All you need is :

Egg white
Strawberry essence
Superfine sugar and
Fruits like strawberry, cherry, apple, peach, grape, plum ...

You will use the amount of ingredients according to the amount of fruits. So, in a medium bowl, place the egg white and add some strawberry essence ( do not beat them !!! Just mix gently ). Dip the fruit and then pass it on the sugar ( the egg white works as a glue for the sugar ). Let it drying aside.

It gets a beautiful aspect for decorating your Christmas table because it looks like "wax fruits ornaments" and the best part is that you can eat them ! Have fun !!

Tropical Chicken Salad

Here is a recipe I prepare every Christmas. As we celebrate our Cristmas during Summer, we prefer to have refreshing dishes. This recipe brings to your mouth an explosion of flavours ! So, I hope you enjoy it :)

You will need :

1 chicken breast
2 peaches ( canned ones )
1 green pepper
1 carrot
100 grams ham
100 grams mozzarella cheese
Mayonaise at your taste
1 red apple
Parsley, chives
Seedless raisins

Cook the chicken breast into water seasoned with salt, ground pepper and cummin for 30 minutes then let it cool.

Slice finely the chicken breast, peaches, green pepper, carrot, ham, cheese and the red apple. That's the secret of this dish because this way it will get crunch and soft at the same time. The carrot must be raw !
Then add the raisins, chopped parsley and chives. Mix everything in a large bowl and then add the mayonaise.

Note: Prepare this recipe about an hour before serving and keep it in the fridge just because of the mayonaise and the ham.

You can change the amount of ingredients according to the number of people.

Christmas letters ...

I remember when I was a little girl and used to write letters to Santa Claus... Now I've grown up and I miss such fantasy times...
My daughter still writes letters to Santa and this year she changed her mind three times ! So, in the third letter she wrote : " Dear Santa, it's me again ... " , hahaha !

It's wonderful to have a dream and I'm seriously thinking about writing my letter to santa this year, just to feed my inner child ... yeah, our inner child never dies and is always inside us just waiting for a chance ...
Our inner child talks to us when we have some chocolate, alone in the kitchen while everybody is watching TV or doing anything else ...

So, friends, release your inner child this Christmas !

Circus !

Last Friday we went to the circus ! Yes, vacation time ! It was really funny and we laughed a lot, the clowns were really funny :D
It was wonderful to see my daughter laughing and playing and eating popcorn ! Childhood, the marvelous time of our lives !

Thank you so much for your comments ! I am really so busy these last days. I'm also helping hubby at the local newspaper and my time for blogging and giving all the special attention for my dear blog friends has been too short :(
But I'm sure you all know what I mean, we're women, wives, mothers ... super heroes !!!
